There must be purpose in our lives. We are here to accomplish something, to bless society with our talents and our learning. There ce be fun, yes. But there must be recognition of the fact that life is serious, that the risks are great, but that we can overcome them if we will discipline ourselves and seek the unfailing strength of the Lord.
And they were exceedingly valiant for courage and also for strength and activity; but behold, this was not all-they were men who were true at all times in whatsoever thing they were entrusted.
The Lord expects that we will be good people, clean and decent, and rise above all the sins of the world, and stand tall and strong, and live the gosptel in its fullness. He expects us to conduct ourselves in such a way as to bring honor and respect to His great cause and kingdom. He expects us to live the gospel as those who have taken upon themselves a great and solemn and wonderful covenant.
